Paul Cecil Worsham enjoyed taking regular walks every day. He loved to paint, and he especially loved his family, who lovingly referred to him as 'Pop Pop'.
In 2007, an 82-year-old Paul grabbed his shotgun and went out into the woods, presumably to do some hunting.
Paul was also beginning to suffer from dementia, had been battling Prostate cancer since 2001. He was having other health problems as well. It is unclear if anyone saw him leave the residence that could have stepped him.
In any event, Paul left the home that day around 3:00 p.m.. with a gun in hand.
When Paul didn't arrive back home by 7:00 p.m., his family began looking for him. He was reported missing to authorities the next day.
Paul is described as a caucasion male, standing 5'10 and weighing 180 pounds in 2007. He had thinning grey hair and green eyes. He was 82 years old.
Paul was wearing a pink or red sweater, brown or camouflage-print pants, a denim jacket, a blaze-orange hat, a belt with a small square buckle, a Timex watch with an elastic band, dog tags with his name, and a gold wedding band.
He also has several tattoos:
- A banner with the name "Audrey" on his upper right arm;
- A tattoo of the Ace of Spades on his left forearm;
- A tattoo of a large ship on his chest;
- A tattoo of a nautical-type compass on his left calf.
