Nine months after Johnny Gosch vanished while delivering newspapers in West Des Moines, Iowa, another paperboy vanished under eerily similar circumstances in the small town of Ravenna, Ohio.
On July 14, 1983, Charley Koch was seen delivering newspapers in a Ravenna trailer park. This was his normal paper route he had done many times before.
Two children playing outside saw Charley stop and talk to someone in a blue car. They didn't notice what happened next.
Charley was never seen or heard from again.
Johnny Gosch was last seen September 5, 1982, delivering newspapers early in the morning. This was his normal route and normal routine. He was also last seen talking to someone in a silver or blue car.
Johnny's case became infamous as he was the first missing child featured on the milk cartoon.
Johnny and Charley were different ages and lived several states apart, but there are enough similarities to give people pause.
There have been no updates in Charley's case since 1983.
Charley Koch is described as a Caucasian male, with blonde hair and blue eyes. He stood 5'9" and weighed around 125 pounds when he was last seen in July 1983. Charley was 19 years old and would today be 60.
